India is one of the world’s fastest growing economies with 455.7 million job opportunities in various sectors and industries. However, our education system has been inadequate in equipping this work force with the skills required by the industry. These skills include communication, attitude, problem solving ability, self-management, cultural sensitivity or exposure to advanced technologies and their implementation. This problem of skill gap is felt more acutely in small towns and villages of our country.
